I'm doing this diet for the first time. I was eating only fruit all morning (2 oranges, some strawberries, and black coffee). However, my stomach started to feel very acidic and painful. I tried drinking water, and eating some other berries. I also tried some soup. Nothing helped! Finally, I had a couple spoons of cottage cheese, which helped a lot.

What can I do now? I was thinking of doing some exercises to make use of the protein, to minimize the damage?

It broke the point of the first 3 days detox process however you can keep going if you like. Exercise never makes up for diet cheats technically. People here think oops I ate some cake go work tit off. However the damage the sugar and wheat do to the body and what it does chemically to you cannot be made up by working out.

However keep rolling :)
