Hi ,
I am 87.3 kg. Into my 3rd day today and only lost 0.4 kg now weighting at 86.9. This is my first try of the GM diet and i been following closely your listing of food.As my normal diet is quite similar consisting of lots of veg (Only on this diet,I omitted out sugar and process food, replacing with lots of fruits.) I did not exercise as I have a slipdisk condition thus causing my weight gain all this years. I have a few questions below, pls kindly help:
-Is exercising a must for GM diet to work?
-Is wonder soup necessary everyday to boost effect? (As after following the menu , i am actually quite full already except for day 1)
-Will drinking not enough water affect my slow weight loss as well? (As i cant seems to gulp down 2 glass of water after each meal, too full)
Tomorrow is day 4 which i am pretty tense about as i am not a banana fan but i will still go ahead, just to enquiry,
-Can i mix in Yogurt and chia seed into my banana shake?
And last of all, If after tomorrow (Day 4) if there is not much weight loss, can i start over from day 1 again ?

1) exercise is not a must. It has to be light anyway
2) the soup can help but only if you are hungry
3) Do not eat close to eating or after, wait until you have digested. Try and drink at least 6 glasses.
4) you can choose another fruit day 4. yogurt can replace milk and you do not need the chia day 4
5) finish the 7 days, they are needed

Good luck :)

Thanks so much for the prompt reply Kevin
OK ,I will finish the 7 days and see how it goes.
I did a short 15 mins HIT workout just now, hopefully it'll help to accelerate the weight loss.
I actually need to lose 30 kg as I only stand at 1.53cm. Due to my disc condition and age, been putting on weight these few years and is getting hard to get them off.
Looking forward to tomorrow.

Cheers & good night
;)

HIT workouts are by far the best. It can be hard. The key is how you eat daily. Also, make sure you are in bed by 10pm!

Hi Kevin,
Oh, 10 pm is a challenge as I am a late night person.Work also normally ends between 10pm-1am depending on shift. Therefore I can't really follow GM diet timings, (pushing them 2-3 hrs later for each meal time)
-Will timing of the meals effect diet outcome?
-Can we have wonder soup if hungry at 3am?
-Does smoking effect? (Cos I smoke about 10-15 sticks per day)
Today is the 4th day and its great! So far taken 1 Banana shake and it proofs itself to be not as bad (Not into bananas and its the first banana shake in my life) !

Hi Kevin,
This is kinda gross but i still have to ask.
As today is my Day 4 (Bananas & Milk), I been running to the toilet with soapy & watery stools , 4th time since my first banana shake of the day.
-Is this normal?
Do not know if this is my reaction only or wat as I never take so many bananas ever before in a single day and first x on banana milkshake. Have you come across others reacting this way?
Appreciate our advice.
Thanks

I understand, I have been on night shift. However, just as an FYI for your future, when you go to bed is just as vital to your weight as what you eat. It's about the melatonin and circadian rhythms.

So just do your best on the plan here. This can also affect your number shown on the scale based on when you get up.

you can do the wonder soup when you like.

smoking yes affects losses and overall ability to lose weight.
Keep rolling :)

Not gross, just life :)

To me, have you ever tested for a dairy issue? Allergies to ripe bananas are not common.

Nope, never tested for dairy issue but i doubt it cos i love dairy products. Used to drink milk before sleep to prevent insomnia. Normally Max is 2 glasses milk per day and maybe 2 small bananas but nv combined together before. Therefore might be due to the overwhelming amount of bananas + milk in a single day that cause my stomach to go into shock. (Have always have a sensitive stomach)
Runny stomach continue on today Day 5 evening , slightly better now. Down a 2 kg total since started & determine to carry on.

Kevin, able to double check my day 5 menu pls:
-Breakfast : 3 eggs / omelette with onions & tomato (1 teaspoon organic olive oil)
-Lunch : Stir fried (1 teaspoon organic olive oil) chicken breast & small amt of pork (around 150 g combined) with spouts (hard to get pure beef pattys in Singapore unless fast food burger pattys which i think lots of processed stuff in it) + tomato soup with onions and celery.
- 2 glasses of Jap green tea(no sugar) + 3 glasses water so far
-Dinner: 2 eggs/omelette with 1 slice of cheese (1 teaspoon organic olive oil) + tomato soup with onions and celerys.

Did I overdo it?

Hi Kevin,
Finished the whole course of my GM diet round 1 yesterday.Overall weight loss is 2 kg.
Thank you for all your detailed advice and patience in the prompt replies these few days.:)
Hopefully the weight can stay off.
May I just ask you if you feel that it is wise to carry on with the Royal Danish hospital diet for 13 days and come back to do 2rd round of GM Diet?As I really need to loss more weight (35 kg more to my normal weight range)
Maybe can share with me if you come across anyone else doing it / some of your personal views.
Thanks

I cannot recommend that diet, sorry. I suggest eat balanced meals with good fat, some carb, protein and lots of veg. Don;t snack and stay gluten and sugar free.

If you want help developing a lifestyle change let me know.
