hi,

I need deeper details in the Vegetarian version - Day 5,6 & 7
In the links gmdietworks > general-motors-diet > gm-diet-vegetarian it only says to use brown rice as beef substitute. I want to know more details like below for each day

Day - 5 Vegetarian - Breakfast ?
Day - 5 Vegetarian - Lunch ?
Day - 5 Vegetarian - Dinner ?
Day - 5 Vegetarian - Mid morning and mid evening snack ?

Day - 6 Vegetarian - Breakfast ?
Day - 6 Vegetarian - Lunch ?
Day - 6 Vegetarian - Dinner ?
Day - 6 Vegetarian - Mid morning and mid evening snack ?

Day - 7 Vegetarian - Breakfast ?
Day - 7 Vegetarian - Lunch ?
Day - 7 Vegetarian - Dinner ?
Day - 7 Vegetarian - Mid morning and mid evening snack ?

I'm sorry for asking in detail but I couldn't find it anywhere to this level of detail.
This is for me and one of my friends who got inspired by looking at my reduced weight. (I'm referring most of my colleagues to GM DIET) :)

Please help with more details.

yes for a vegetarian, legumes best option, rice is next. you need fat with each. Beef naturally has fat, so should it's replacement.

Thanks Kevin for the quick reply.
I did the diet last week and lost 4 kgs. But I found day 5 and 6 very difficult mainly due to not having different variety of food. I am a vegetarian so I cant eat beef or eggs.
Can the following indian recipes you mentioned in the website okay to have on day 5 and 6 ?

Mixed Sprouts and Corn
Moong Sprout with Brown Rice
For beef replacement, toor dal/moong dal with 1tsp olive oil, salt, red chilli, turmeric & corriander is okay?

Hi Kevin,

How are you?

My wife did the GM diet last week but she lost only 1.5 Kgs. She did not cheat and followed the diet very strictly.

However, she took multi vitamins everyday. Could that have caused the lesser weight loss?

Please let me know

No. It can be tougher for many reasons. First, she is a lady, hormones can really play a part in that it can just be tougher at times on any diet. Next does she have any underlying health issues such as a thyroid problem or high cortisol levels perhaps?

What did she eat day 2 (especially breakfast)? and day 5?

Hi Kevin,

We haven't actually checked cortisol level but her thyroid is normal.

Day 2, she had boiled potato with little butter for breakfast, rest of the day she had vegetables (cucumber, carrot, tomato, beats, lettuce), wonder soup.

Day 5 she had white rice with toor dal, sprouts and peanuts (part of Moong sprouts recipe) and wonder soup.

day 2 great
peanuts are a huge no no. They are so bad for you. Full of aflatoxins and junk. They are truly toxic. They should not be eaten on this plan. Ift hey are in that recipe they need to come out. However it should bot have hurt her losses.

What time of the day do you weigh?

It has to be right when you wake, right after you go to the bathroom and right before you eat or drink anything. That is what's called your true weight. FYI :)

This can include heart disease, stroke, type 2 diabetes, and cancer, but these aren't the only chronic diseases connected to weight.
