I had little quatity of alcohol on the day before the GM Diet. Now I came to know that the detoxification won't happen. I already started the diet today (Day 1) and I want to continue. Should taking more water today be helpful for me. I took 5ltr of water and I do 40 min of threadmill + cycling. Should I continue this week or should I postpone. Please advice.

alcohol is juts no good, empty carbs, etc. do some herbal tea no sweetener unless it's stevia. do some coconut water as well if you like. Mix it up. keep going, you should be ok.
